Easter!!
I have an opinion. I know, big shock, right?;) I think Easter should be a bigger deal than Christmas. It has much more religious importance in the Christian world. It's Christ's second birth, his resurrection, that is the most exciting part of his life. Every year I want to make it a bigger deal but I'm not quite sure how. One of these days I will figure it out. This year was especially fun because Jared and Kate, Cedar, Layla, Hudson and Navy were visiting us!
First we went on a hunt in the house. Then we read the story of Easter from the cartoon scriptures. Next we had crepes for late breakfast. Then we all got ready for church while trying to conserve hot water for showers.
When the kids were all dressed and ready they had their Easter lunch: a hard boiled egg bunny and a carrot.
We went to church where Kylie Knapp spoke on Easter. She did such a grown up job. Then we came home and had Easter dinner with Katie and Jordan. We had ham, scalloped potatoes, green salad and mormon salad. We had cookies and ice cream for dessert. Yum :)
When the kids were put to bed we had a good late night chat. Jared had gone to bed every night early at Jordan's so we texted him in the middle of the night to big him. He didn't get it because he was fast asleep:)
